The Importance Of Setting A Budget

The change that I am going to attempt is setting a budget and sticking to it. I recently have had a change in my living situation resulting in an increase in my expenses. The change will be in how I conduct my spending, so that I can pay off some bills while saving money for graduate school. Saving money is important to me because I want to become financially stable while saving enough money to pay a minimum of twenty five percent of my tuition and living expenses from my savings. This change is important to me because it will lower my student loans and saving me money in the long run by lowering interest along with the overall balance.

The communicating for buy-in stage seems to be a bit ambiguous because I will be working by myself on this change. Logically it seems certain that I will have to cut back on my spending by making sure that I maximize each dollar. At the same time I need to choose and utilize technology devices and software that will make tracking and organizing my financial data as easy and efficient as possible. In order to empower action, I must make sure that tracking my data is simple by keeping it up to date. Additionally, I will need to keep a positive attitude about my long term goals. This may be hard because my new financial situation may warrant me to leave a meager lifestyle, and this may get dull and old after a time. In order to stay focused I will need to utilize positive images such as keeping a picture of my dream school by my desk. Hopefully this image will help remind me of my long term goals, thus motivating me to persevere through the difficult aspects of my goals. Short term wins will be created by setting goals and then rewarding myself with small trinkets that symbolize my progress. Perseverance will help with the accomplishment of attaining
