I know that everybody has rights to pursue hobbies or interests. When I was young, my parents told me that interests can be an incentive of pursuing success; interests can be the beginning of career; interests can be a color pen to paint the life, making it meaningful. I began to play the piano since six years old and enjoyed playing it very much, so piano is one of my most favorite things. Nevertheless, I have noticed a serious problem that playing the piano takes up my too much time which can be spent in studying and also have some other negative aspects. Homework became substantial just like endless river when I started to study in a junior high school. I tried my best to save time by doing homework quickly in order to play the piano every night, and the hours for sleeping became very limited. My mother began to worry about my study and health at that time, so she asked me to play the piano only in weekends. Certainly, I did not agree with her because I thought I could still keep my good academic performance with playing the piano every night at that time. Nonetheless, after I went to the high school, things changed. Life became as busy as the president of a country, I tried to keep my high scores at school with playing the piano every night, but it nearly made me mad. Little time for sleeping and feeling sleepy in class nearly torture me. Now, it is the most significant time for me because my performance during this period of time can decide directly whether I can go to a top university. Therefore, I finally decide to give up playing the piano until I enter a top university.
At the present, I am staying away from piano purposely. I attempt to ignore the waves of hands of piano and dance of piano keyboard as piano is so detrimental to me. Luckily, everything is becoming better perhaps just because I have abandoned my interest deliberately. Am I doing a right
