Motivation: Describe three times in your life that you were highly motivated and identify the factors that contributed to these feelings of high motivation. Now, describe three times in your life when your motivation was low and identify the factors that contributed to these feelings of low motivation.
Highly Motivated Promote to management after nine years as a mechanic I decided I would make an attempt to join the ranks of management. I had a need for achievement seeking a situation in which my performance would pave the way for my incentives and future promotions rather than other factors. Another motivator was being selected by the program manager to lead a team to train the entire organization on a safety initiative. This was vital to my career and instrumentality as it relates to Vroom’s theory. My expectation was to complete the task at hand with a favorable outcome and awareness. After retiring from the military I felt a sense of relief and self-satisfaction because of my accomplishment. I was personally committed to achieving this goal and my commitment was unwavering.

What common factors contributed to high and low motivation? I believe the common factors that contribute to high and low motivation are pay, promotions and job fulfillment. When those factors are not achieved, people tend to look of other opportunities or seek employment elsewhere. Those are drivers for motivation in the work force. Many seek higher education in order to get higher pay, job promotions and often time fulfillment.
