Ah, I think to myself today we finally have a rainy day. I can hear the water drops from

outside and know that it must be raining. I’m so excited that I want to jump up on to my cousin

Ellie’s bed (who is sleeping next to me) and tell her it’s raining. I know she would be excited too,

but would also try and hide that she was angry at me for waking her up so early. Instead, I slip

out of the room without making a sound. My parents had already gone to start walking the

streets of San Francisco. There was a note in the huge family room with a Starbucks drink on

top of it. Overjoyed, I went to go see why it was there. It was from my parents and they had left

to go walking and would be home soon. Relieved, I took the Starbucks on a

Francisco had water everywhere. I looked at the note again, but this time I was envious of my

parents because I realized they got to go be in the rain while I was stuck waiting for my little

cousin to get up. I thought well at least I have some peace and quiet.

My mom called me ten minutes later and said they were now going shopping, going out

to eat lunch, and the rest of my huge family would be there by 12:30. I told her thank you for

letting me know and that I’d tell Ellie as soon as she woke up. After that, the boredom came so I

decide to watch TV. Within the first 15 minutes, I see a groggy Ellie pier around the corner and

fall onto the couch still half asleep. Ellie said shocked, “Oh wow it’s already 11:00”. Ellie ate

Breakfast at 11:45 after watching more TV, then we both decided to get dressed, pull up the

shades, clean our rooms, and prepare everything for when our cousins came. At 12:15 we hear

a knock on our door and Ellie and I both get up excited to answer it. When I reach the door, and

open it, there’s a tall man saying, “Morning ma’am do you need any ice?” I reply with a sad

MTVT shop area. They had a playground, bowling, carousel, ice skating, food, science store, art

museum, movie theater, and so much more. We played on the playground for two hours then

went back to our hotel (The St. Regis). I swam for three hours in the inside heated pool. It felt

wonderful after being outside in the cold for two hours. Exhausted, we all headed up back to our

room to fall asleep, we said hi to my mom and dad. Then we crashed.

I woke up surprised, it was 7:30 already. “Oh no”, I said as I jerked awake. “Don’t we

have reservation tonight at some fancy restaurant?” I asked. Ellie replied all the parents left and

nana told me that we could have room service. Relived, I called up room service to order our

food. I got chicken tenders with fries and some broccoli and cheese. After I ordered that, Ellie

said to me “You’re weird you know right?” I smiled “Yep I get it from my cousins”. She smiled in

response. About 20 minutes later we got our food and watched TV for another hour. We talked

about our plans tomorrow to go shopping, and watch a movie. I saw that it was 11:45,
