Adventures It was a Saturday at 10:00 a.m. I was biking to my friend, Evan Mestller’s house. The day before we decided to go to a bike trail. The week before two of my friends Drew and Evan found a bike trail. While is was listening to music and as the wind rushed through my newly cut hair. I rode for about 5 minutes. We lived pretty close to each other even though we lived in different neighborhoods. When I got to his house I knocked on his door. Knock knock knock. “Come on in,” said Evan’s mom. I fumbled my feet waiting for an answer. Not to mention I didn’t hear her telling me to come in. “Come in,” said Evan’s mom a little louder, “doors unlocked.” This time I hear her. After we got bored of the playground we sat on a bench. I looked upwards and saw the dark clouds. I asked Evan to check the radar, Evan said the rain would hit an hour. At that moment Oscar got a call from his mom telling him that his mom coming to get

On April 24th 1992, I met a woman at a hospital in Los Angeles. The woman was sweet, loving, and smelt like Dior Dune perfume. Once I was cleared by the doctors, the woman took me to her apartment. When we arrived, I heard kids laughing as they splashed each other in the pool, and saw a group of older guys wearing bright red t-shirts with red shoe laces. I watched for a minute, absorbing everything in like a sponge.…

I was 23 before I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. As far back as Elementary school I knew that there was something “off” in the way that I processed information. That my ability to do well academically was somehow hindered by not having certain tools that I needed, tools I wasn’t even aware existed. In high school, I began to augment my deficits with strengths. Where my grades were lacking I made up for it through creativity; I excelled at art and photography.…
