Participating in dramas really brought out my theatrical side.
About ten years ago, when I was seven, my siblings and I were part of a performing arts program called Divine Current Anointed Flow, or D.C.A.F. for short.
I was excited to start our performance that day for I had watched my older siblings participate in this event before and I was finally old enough to join them.
We all wore black-tees and long kakis, though I can remember having a problem with the plain looking pants, I did like the black shirts because they made me feel like a spy.
Arriving at our old church, Crosswinds Community Church, I can recall bounding out of our red fifth-teen passenger van with barley contained energy. We conversed about what we were about to do, for us we might as well have been performing for two-hundred people, but as it was there was barely sixty. Though there weren’t very many of us, about twenty-five or so, that’s still a few too many for me to remember what they all did. I do remember that my twin sisters, Bethany and Sierra, teamed up with their friend Raven to do a dance routine. This was probably the part I was most nervous about, I had to memorize the whole song which was not an easy thing for me seeing as I’ve always had a bad memory. My sister Sierra was kind enough to print off my lyrics while I was learning them. She went over them several times with me so I wouldn’t forget any of the words.
