As I looked around I saw trees and bright blue sky this day was like no other. I stared up into the sky as the first bird flew across it. I knew everything was going to go down hill fast. People from all different places ran from all corners of the land. They were yelling something. In some language I couldn't make out. But that didn't matter. As I took my first step onto the mossy ground and took a gasp of cold air I knew the battle had begun.

Two weeks prior to the battle I was in my home. A small house on the edge of zone four . Our land was divided between 8 different zones. Zone one was were all the wealthy people dwelled. In zone two three and four were people of the middle classes. I along with my sister, mom, and dad all lived on

I ran high up into the forest where all of the weapons were hidden. I saw a bow and arrow out of the corner of my eye. I ran toward it and grabbed it tight. I slug it onto my back and continue to run. I then saw a small jug of water and I took that …show more content…
I saw a tall tree with fruit in it so I climbed to the top. I barley slept that night. All I could her was the sound of people killing people. This sound was heart breaking. Even though they were people I didn't know. Then all of a sudden felt someone was watching me. I slowly climbed down the tree. When I reached to the bottom an arrow came flying toward my head it hit the tree almost empaling me in the head I quickly drew my bow and shot back. I then say the boy from zone 2 fall to the ground. I didn't know what to think. I was one of the people who had killed someone. Still feeling shaken up I walked to find food. After walking for what felt like forever I saw a can of beans and a bag of rice. I drew my bow and started to walked towards the bounty. I saw the girl from zone five walking toward the food as well. I closed my eyes and shot. She fell down with a loud thud. I though to myself two. Two people I've killed two people! But I knew that I needed to find food. So I continued to walk.
