Today was my birthday, March 13 3034, on my favorite day, Friday. My wife, Dory, took me to a play at the Bible (bib-Lee) City entertainment center as my birthday present. I sat down in my seat and I began to watch the actors move onto the stage.
I was intrigued by the play as soon as the first words were said. Dory was falling asleep, and I kept having to wake her up. She doesn’t like plays as much as I do. I just sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed the play.
After about an hour and a half of the wonderful play, I woke up Dory. We got up to leave, but I couldn’t find my key to activate my hoverboard.
“T. Basket, why do you always lose your key? Just keep it in your pocket like I do.” Dory told at me in a mocking tone.
“Well I try to keep it in

I leave you alone with my son in your town for about a day, and he gets CAPTURED BY ALIENS? What’s wrong with you?” Mark shouted at Dory.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know what would happen, and your son wasn’t listening to us.” Dory replied, afraid.
“I told you he doesn’t listen! I told you to offer him root beer later as a reward for listening! Did you offer him any?”
“Um.. No.”
“Exactly. Now he’s flying around in space probably being examined by aliens. What do you have to say for yourself?”
“Sorry.”
“Yeah? Well sorry doesn’t cut having your son abducted by aliens.” As he said this, he sobbed and walked away. There has to be something to do.
Just then someone tapped me on the shoulder. It was Carl. He told me that scientists at the NHO have been developing a surgical procedure that will turn someone into a cyborg fighting machine.
“I’ll do it.” I told him.
“Great.” He said with a smile.
I spent the whole day working like nothing happened. We were required to do so because the aliens haven’t shown themselves since 5 am, and didn’t seem like a threat at the moment. However, everyone was still dressed in battle armor.
I went to sleep that night afraid. I was scared what would happen next with the aliens, and my cyborg surgery

I ate breakfast and rode my hoverboard over to the NHO, skipping work today. I was greeted by a short man dressed in a lab coat with a friendly smile.
“Welcome, Trash. Thank you for taking part in this surgery. This is the surgeon, mechanical genius, Dr. Hippie Gonzales.” Carl told me.
“Great. Hello Dr. Gonzales.” I greeted him and shook his hand.
“Hello my friend. Today we will be doing your surgery. Follow me into this room. Don’t worry, I am very trained in this and I will not fail. Let me reassure you that.” He told me.
We walked into a large white shining room with a large bed for doing the surgery many robotic parts and different gadgets were on tables, along with giant tools for installing them.
“I know they seem scary, but it’ll all be fine trust me. Oh, here we are. There’s my assistant. Dr. W. Borg.”
Dr. W. Borg was sitting on the other side of the room playing music on a keyboard. He just smiled at me and waved.
“Dr. W. Borg keeps me entertained while I’m working, and he plays his keyboard everywhere he goes. He even plays it in his sleep.” Dr. Gonzales told me.
Dr. W. Borg just smiled and nodded, still playing the keyboard. Dr. Gonzales lead me onto the surgical bed and put me to sleep with a gas. When I woke up, I felt

Peter Pettigrew knew he had done the right thing, the sacrifice he had made more than enough to warrant his own feeling of pride. Unfortunately, he knew not everyone—including those who counted the most—would be able to see it that way. Tiny clouds of dust rose as Peter scampered along, determined to not let his aching muscles slow him down. It was hard to gain any sort of fast pace with the space where his toe should have been constantly throbbing. Still, he pushed on, blades of grass scratching at his fur.…

The last day, I rotated to the GI operating room. Approximately 6 laparoscopic cholecystectomies were done, along with two hernia repairs. Along with the circulating nurse, I prepared the patient by placing the SCDs on, which help with the return of the blood flow to the heart since it is slowed down with the anesthesia; and positioning and accommodating them. Additionally, I helped the surgical tech open some of the instruments and in some cases I handed other instruments that were out of the sterile field. In a cholecystectomy the abdomen is inflated using carbon dioxide, allowing a better view for the surgeon.…

I can’t believe that I got the opportunity to take this trip, but now in my opinion this is probably not a good idea because this raggedy old carrier plane probably could never make it across the ocean. If it wasn’t for this plane having a small, dirty, and old jeep sitting in it collecting dust for what seemed to be years maybe it would not seem so terrifying. However all the money I had saved went into this horrifying plane ride, and my “room” on this island of dreams. After take off it was hours until I felt some major turbulence and then BANG! The plane’s cargo bay door flew open and started to suck everything in the bay out into the open air.…

I feel that the preoperative briefing that took place before the patient arrived is what allowed the team to work so well in this emergency case, all of the details that was known about the patient was shared to the entire theatre team, with enough time to be able to prepare and collect all the appropriate equipment that was needed but also equipment that was possibile needed so that all avenues of care was covered and prepared. Bethune (2011) stated that teamwork, communication, and efficiency in the operating theatre is widely recognised to be suboptimal. Poor communication is the single biggest cause of medical error. The surgical operating theatre is a potentially highly stressed environment where poor communication can lead to fatal errors.…
