I entered the door of my local high school, and I felt the uneasiness fly away. I moved through the hall where on the side I saw the countless golden and silver trophies. As I continued down the hall I saw a desk that has four pieces of paper on the bottom with letters that were organized through last name. A's-G's were on the far left while S's-Z's were on the right. I went toward the desk to get my schedule. For while I dwelt on the schedule looking for my first class 201 with a Ms. Pearson name plate on the side of the door. I had troubles finding my class. It felt like I was wandering there forever up until I found my middle school friend Hussein. "What is wrong"? Hussein said. "I can't find where 201 is," I replied. "Dude we have the …show more content…
"Dude we are so lucky that the teacher didn't do attendance yet," Hussein whispered. "Yea we are lucky," I whispered back. "You two stop talking," the teacher said. "Aright class I will being assigning class seats, so get up when your name is called and move to your new desk," she announced. Ms. Pearson was a middle age woman who I didn't bother asking about her age, because it was quote on quote "rude." She was shorter than most teaches and had a pale complexion and long blond hair. Her room was a bit smaller than most classes, but it was beeping with life. There were posters of people's cultures around the class, and two desks, one in front of the class and the other near the exit of the class room. I was assigned to a desk that was in the middle of the class room. As everyone got acquainted with their desk the teacher did the attendance. I was called first. "Hanad", the teacher said. "Here", I replied. As the teacher continued to do attendance, I dug through my bag searching for book, folder, and pencil. When she was done, she started class by reviewing the syllabus and announced to the class that we will be having our first assignment due on Friday. The class let out a long sigh. "Let me finish before you hate me," the teacher said. "You need to find three current event that are within this year, and write them down," she said. "and they must be from creditable source," she continued. "You need to have the five W's(Who, What, Where, Why) …show more content…
At that moment I took my class a bit seriously. I readied the chapter head of time and continue to complete the current event Ms. Pearson assigned to us. Soon after of two months of doing class assignment non stop. I started to like the subject and the jeopardy games and other review games we played for our upcoming tests. I dominated mostly all the review game we played, but decided to not answer every question in the game. Most due to the anger faces staring right at me and the fear of being called a nerd. Even though I took my class seriously, I never liked to study. It took time out of my personal time and the time of other classes, so I tried my best to remember things in our review guide. Which didn't work well with some of the test I took, but work well with most of it. So I continued my bad habit up until I graduated from high

After he talks about his classmates, he introduces the audience to his teacher. He gives the audience a hint of what the teacher’s personality is like by saying that she “marched” into the classroom. Once the author says the word “marched”, the audience automatically thinks of a military officer. With this in the audience's minds, they can infer that the teacher is very serious, strict, and rude. This inference is then confirmed when the teacher says that the students who haven’t learned certain things before starting her class, don’t belong there.…

The white now-deformed cylinder clung to the carved stick as it melted. Before it could fall to its hot, fire-induced death, I whisked the stick away and carefully scraped the marshmallow onto the graham cracker square laden with delicious chocolate. As I delicately placed the camping creation onto my lips, the background noise of the wind and not-so-spooky stories calmed me as I watched the flames lick at the logs, slowly transforming them into ashes and embers. Everything was too perfect. I sat at the picnic table, and wondered if this was compensation for the last camping trip my family took, nearly a decade ago.…
