The sun shined bright above as I roared down the dirt path past fields filled with crops. The wind tore through my hair, whipping it back and forth. I had never experienced such a rush. My dad decided that it was time I road a four-wheeler by myself down the dirt road past his house. It was such a nice day out and a day that I would never forget. Thankfully, that feeling has never left me. Ever since then, I’ve realized that riding by myself opened up a new side to me. The rush pushed me to be more outgoing. In the past, I was more outgoing towards school, now i’m outgoing with work, and in the future I plan to be outgoing with my job. Schooling isn’t every ten-year old's favorite thing, but for me it was. I loved school and receiving homework because for me it was something to push myself and succeed at. School provided a confidence boost in me. It was just like when I first got on the fourwheeler. I didn’t know what every button was or what it did, but once I rode the fourwheeler and used the buttons, I understood what I was doing and loved it. For me school was something to work with and …show more content…
It just lurks its way in my life in different ways. Now I am a waitress at Denny’s and I am more sociable now than I ever have been. If it wasn’t for that one fourwheeler ride, I don't know if I’d be as outgoing as I am now. In order to be a waitress I have to be open and know how to handle people’s needs. After a long busy night at work, I feel refreshed and alive. Almost as if the wind is whipping through my hair and blowing in my face. Especially once I look inside my apron and see the stash of money I made that night. For me, the pile of money is just like pushing the throttle to the max and speeding down the road. I have my dad to thank for pushing me to ride the four wheeler because without that experience, I wouldn’t be as successful as I am and hope to be some

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been hungry to learn. I picked up my first chapter book as soon as I possibly could, I constantly wrote stories, and even more often I told them. However, it wasn’t until high school that I truly found who I was as a student. I always enjoyed learning within the walls of my comfortable high school, yet I didn’t know what it was like to venture outside of the classroom and learn in ways that would help me to grow as a student and as a person. Junior year I began to take courses that really challenged me and I became an avid participant in the Interact Club, or community service club.…

Ben, Jerry, and Me An arctic chill crept across my spine in time with the goosebumps demarcating my excitement as I flung the doors open, eyes roving the fluorescent freezer until they finally landed upon my treasure: the Tonight Dough. With my spoon as sword and the treadmill as shield, I sliced into pure euphoria, excavating chunks of ice cream then depositing their riches into my ravenous mouth. Though ice cream has always been a part of my life, the Tonight Dough was not always my delicacy of choice.…

Other than sleeping, have you ever found yourself completely silent, both physically and verbally? Well, it happened to me on a summer day back in 2014, crammed into the backseat of a Fiat northeast of Prague. Since I couldn’t communicate with the passengers and had just left a life-changing 10-days in Tuscany, I allowed myself to reflect on my life in greater detail. During this ninety minute, fast-paced ride, I concluded my life is an ironic journey, shaped positively by polar opposites.…

My dad owns a basketball company and because of this much of the things i do and participate in are affected by this.
