Before I knew it, an hour had passed by so quickly! Eventually I got bored and said “So Dominic, lets ride around town”. I went to get my bike and remembered its’ broken; the chain had fallen off earlier. Dominic let me use his bike and we headed off to the park and played for a bit.

I was 23 before I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. As far back as Elementary school I knew that there was something “off” in the way that I processed information. That my ability to do well academically was somehow hindered by not having certain tools that I needed, tools I wasn’t even aware existed. In high school, I began to augment my deficits with strengths. Where my grades were lacking I made up for it through creativity; I excelled at art and photography.…

Throughout middle school and high school, my younger sister would always get sick with migraines.…

Have you ever heard the term home is where the heart is? In the summer after my freshman year, I found this to be true. I encountered experiences that illuminated the value of time spent with family and how this creates a sense of home. My family and a few members of my congregation went on a mission trip to Duluth and Superior. We did a variety of things such as helping people in hunger stricken areas, working and arranging clothes in a woman’s shelter, and spending time with kids at Superior’s Boy’s…
