Great Essays
It was simply a ordinary, sunny, 80° day in San Francisco, California. I was doing my daily routine of grabbing myself some coffee as I walked to school. The streets were overloaded with cars, buses, and people since it was rush hour. While I sipped my coffee, I waited for the crosswalk light to switch to green.

“Hi!” I heard from behind me as my friend ran up and gave me a ginormous hug.

“EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Oh my goodness, it’s really you!” I screamed.

Skylar had been away for a month, so I’m sure you can envision my excitement of finally seeing my best friend after all of that time. We had been best friends since Elementary, and now we are Seniors. She was spending a month as an exchange student in France, and she was finally home. The rest of the way to school we spent chatting and catching up. But, by the time we got to school I had thought to myself,

School was normal, and Skylar and I met up again afterward and walked home together. Skylar lived only one block away from my house, so we walked to school and back together every single day. But, the next day, I didn’t see her going to or from school. It had been a few days before I even heard from her! My phone started to ring, saying it was an unknown number, but I answered anyways because I was worried about Skylar. It wasn’t like Skylar to not send me anything, not even just a text.
