The next few days went by quickly, and then suddenly it was Friday afternoon. James would be here in two hours. She hopped in the shower and belted her heart out. She dressed in a beautiful short dress, but not too short. She threw on some makeup and her mom's old necklace and some silver flats. At precisely six he was outside her door. They left for the fair.
As they wandered through the fair he reached for her hand. She let him and the heat of his touch bloomed through her. He suddenly stopped by the cotton candy and she could smell the pure sugar. She was excited; she had never had cotton candy before. Once he had paid they drifted towards the Ferris wheel. As they climbed aboard she could feel the vibration and she scooted a bit closer.

As the car slowed down the blindfold was lifted off of her and she slowly opened her eyes to adjust to the light. She looked around to see a small gazebo by the sand. She looked over at him to see a smile covering his face. He grabbed the food and led her to the gazebo. He went behind a tree and came back wearing his swim trunks. He tossed her a swimsuit and explained it was his sisters. She went behind the tallest tree there was and come out in the bathing suit and her shirt. The week went by slowly. On Tuesday, she told him of her plans and he readily agreed. That night she went to the grocery store but made a quick detour and the fabric shop. She ate in her room and started on the first dress, then on the swimsuit. She made a bag for her things and a bag for holding the food.
As she stopped by the store the next day she grabbed all the food they would need and a blindfold. As she slipped back to her room she grabbed the old box of fabric that had been her mother's and brought it up to her room.
The next day she looked through it and found something she couldn't resist. There was light purple silk and thin black chiffon with pearls scattered everywhere. There was plain black fabric and with it, she covered a pair of heels in her closet. The last thing in there that she used was a rose pink silk that felt like a feather on her
