Faith is the belief in something greater than us one can put full trust, confidence, and reliance on when difficult times arise. I was raised to be involved with church activities to maintain my spiritual life; additionally my faith grew dramatically when my cousin deceased and gave me an overview of what I wanted to pursue my career as.
When I was a child, my parents encouraged me to always be as loving and caring as I could be, not for personal gain, but to be benevolent to the people around me. I was raised with two loving parents, Mario and Rebeca, along with a younger brother, Mario and older sister, Ana. It was a challenge between all of us children since we were all seven years apart and had different interests and characteristics. However, today we all have an extraordinary chemistry. Since all my past family members were raised in Mexico, they left a compulsion to continue our Mexican heritage. I believe that my Mexican heritage has had the greatest impact on me. It has allowed me to have a different perspective

It is customary for our family to go to Mexico and celebrate Christmas and Easter, considering that these holidays are the most important holidays in our Catholic religion. Throughout my youth, my parents made it accustomed for my brother and I to attend church every Sunday, go to religious retreats, and go on missions to serve the community. By attending these events, I have discovered that my mind and heart have shaped me to view myself and my family differently. I have gained a vast amount of self-value, but most importantly they have allowed me to have a closer relationship with God as well as with my parents. If it would not have been for the retreats and missions, we would not have the affectionate bond we have
