When I was a child, my parents encouraged me to always be as loving and caring as I could be, not for personal gain, but to be benevolent to the people around me. I was raised with two loving parents, Mario and Rebeca, along with a younger brother, Mario and older sister, Ana. It was a challenge between all of us children since we were all seven years apart and had different interests and characteristics. However, today we all have an extraordinary chemistry. It is customary for our family to go to Mexico and celebrate Christmas and Easter, considering that these holidays are the most important holidays in our Catholic religion. Throughout my youth, my parents made it accustomed for my brother and I to attend church every Sunday, go to religious retreats, and go on missions to serve the community. By attending these events, I have discovered that my mind and heart have shaped me to view myself and my family differently. I have gained a vast amount of self-value, but most importantly they have allowed me to have a closer relationship with God as well as with my parents.
