I spent hours outside trying to get myself back together. I then heard a familiar voice "Hey you okay?" I looked up to see the beautiful blue eyes of Carl. "Yeah I'm fine I'm just trying to get some things sorted out." Not even a second later "What are you trying to get sorted out?" Carl asked as he sat on the ground next to me and I looked at him "Why does it matter to you I'm not your problem." I asked him. He looked at me and said "Bailey I care about you even if your dad doesn't I do. Does that not matter to you because it means the world to me?" I guess I just got a new reason for surviving." I looked Carl in the eyes and he asked "what's the new reason?"and I said "You are." His eyes shot up from the ground where they had recently occupied "M-Me?" He looked shocked. I got up and said "come on we've got some chores waiting for us to take care of."I then got a idea and said "I'll race you." Carl without even agreeing took off running and he called back to me "Come on slow poke." I took off running quickly catching up with him soon enough I got ahead of him and I thought to myself I win till my body hit the ground and I opened my eyes and looked back Carl tackled me and said "No winner." I looked at him "sore loser?" We heard someone clear there voice and we looked up to see Rick " Aren't you two supposed to be doing something?" We looked at each other and back to Rick and nodded then we ran separate directions. I was in the kitchen area of the prison and helped the woman named Carol begin cooking the deer I hunted yesterday. It was really quiet between the two of us.
