A week of vacation involved sleeping late, a boat load of candy, and spending time with family and friends. Other than the Reese's cup in my lunch box, the respite was over, because this was the first day back from spring break. The reality of high school came crashing in again. Stella and her evil minions approached me as I slammed my locker shut.
“Hey Emily, I think you should know something,” Stella snapped.
“What is it?” I questioned bracing myself for what was about to happen, because Stella surely was not there to make small talk.
“Well, you see Em,” Stella beamed, “Your friend Spencer, he’s been gossiping about you behind your back.”
“What are you talking about? I've known Spencer since the second grade. He would never do anything

He's been distancing himself from you lately.”
“No, he has not” I denied, but Stella had planted a seed of doubt in my mind, “I need to get to class.”
On the way to history, I wondered about what the Stella gang had told me. If Spencer had been gossiping about me, then he would want to move closer not farther away. This made no sense at all. He led me to believe that he was my friend. I shared everything with him. Maybe this was all just a joke. It might be better just to forget about it. After gym class, Reilly, my friend, said she needed to talk to me so we met up at the library after school.
“What's up?” I

“Don't act as if you’re without blame!” I barked. “I can't believe you would gossip about me. After all the secrets we've shared and things we've done together. I thought we were friends.” I had let the tension of my day build up and had released it on Spencer.
“I didn’t gossip about you. Those girls are just trying to stir up a ruckus. Remember last month the same thing happened with Sadie and Taylor. Stella told Sadie that Taylor was gossiping about her when Taylor wasn’t. People are like puppets to that crowd. They entertain themselves by starting drama, and then they sit back and watch.”
“I guess you're right. I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions and I should have trusted you. I apologize for letting my pride get in the way,” I confessed, mad at myself that I had almost wrecked my friendship with Spencer.
"It's fine Em," Spencer assured. "Don’t beat up yourself over Stella's nonsense." We walked out the door together and went to grab a bite to eat. That day I learned a valuable lesson, never to jump to conclusions, especially with friends and

I then rammed my shoulder into the ceiling again, though I kinda forgot to warn my friends what I was planning and they both let out frightened squeaks. “Whoops, my bad dudes,” I thought to Tarin as she and Cass gave me a death glare. I made sure to shield them from the falling debris with my wings, and made sure they didn’t fall off as I rose up on my hind legs and began to climb out of the hole. The Hydra troops, who I’ve found have either the worst or best timing, chose to enter that room at that moment. The looks on their faces when they saw a huge blue dragon climbing through the ceiling with their unconscious prisoner in it’s talons and two other teenage girls on it’s back was priceless.…

It was a very cold and quiet night wind moving across a ground covered in an icy sheen where even the footpath of a mouse could be heard. As I was walking the only thing on my mind was how I will tell Victor that I killed Angela. As I began to walk back home, I saw a young woman she was as beautiful as a freshly grown rose her face was as light as a shining star in the sky and her long brown hair flowing through the wind freely. “Angela” I cried, hoping that the lady didn’t notice me staring “Excuse me sir are you ok.? “she said anxiously.…

Hell, I didn’t even know that people escaped over the mountains or that there was a concentration camp just for women who resisted the Nazis.” Having read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, I believed a good topic to research would be the French resistance, to better understand the dangers that the characters in the novel are going through. This story tells how one of the sisters, Isabelle, joins the French resistance and becomes one of the most sought after resistors by the Nazis.…

After flinging my school bag onto my back in an angry manner, i left my empty casing of a family home slamming the door behind me. I was now in my element. Music on, world off. I went along the same route, passing all the same oak trees, taking all the right roads as per normal.…
