Sitting in 10th hour, counting down the seconds until schools finally over and it's summer. Everyone starts counting down, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and then the last thing everyone screams is “SUMMER!!” I got that sudden feeling of joy rumbling around in my stomach. It was finally summer, the time where I could do whatever I wanted to without any dumb school rules that I had to deal with everyday. I am Emily if you were wondering. My favorite color is purple and I am a normal girl who loves to tan and swim in the summer, and my favorite sport is soccer. I'm a shy girl, but once you get to know me, I'm really not. My parents are the best parents you could ask for, they are always there for me no matter what. My moms name is Sarah, and my dads is John. …show more content…
I finally got home after what seemed like forever and I sat on my phone for about 20 minutes and was already bored. I remembered something though, I was going out to eat that night with my parents, at least I thought so at the time. I heard the garage door open and two door slams. My parents were home.

I ran to the door before they could even walk in completely. I asked them if we were still going out to eat. They said that we weren't anymore because their friends asked them to go have drinks. I was pretty upset, but I got over it. It was about 7:30 and my parents were about to leave. They said their goodbyes and each gave me a kiss on the cheek with the typical “I love you.” Not knowing it, those were the last words they said to me. Ever.

I decided to call a friend over since I had nothing else to do. I asked her if she wanted to sleepover, but she already had plans. I called friend after friend but nobody could come. I couldn't go to my aunts or grandmas or anything because they were nowhere near me, they were all states away. I was just gonna have to spend the night

I ran to each of them and completely lost it. I fell to the ground and started screaming in extreme agony. I couldn't even handle it, I couldn't breathe because I was screaming so loud. I continued to lay on the ground rocking back and forth. The police helped me up and continued to just say they were sorry for my loss. I couldn't believe it. I had no one to go to, I was going to have to be put into a foster home, I realized that. I couldn't even handle such pain right now.

We left the hospital and I was put in the police station so I could stay there for the night until they figured out my home situation. I woke up the next morning not realizing where I was or what was happening. I had a fast thought and remembered the night before. I looked ahead of me and saw a policemen standing right outside, he told me to follow him because they had to tell me something.

I was told that I was going to be put into a foster home until I found a new home. I couldn't believe it and I did not want to go somewhere other than my house. It was later that afternoon when they took me to my house to get everything I would need for the time being I was going to be living in the foster home. I got all my clothes, my blankets, everything that would make me comfortable just like I was in

'Nothing they said in there was true...' was what I told the me inside the mirror while my mind wandered from the mirror where swollen eyes glared back at me to the razor that sat on the bathroom counter. Logically speaking, this wish was a huge mistake, and almost anyone would agree. However, logic was not on my side that day. My internal feelings were what my mind registered, so I placed my hand over the blade's handle while the prior events of the evening rushed over me... Earlier, my siblings and I were hanging out in 'the girls' room'.…

I was maybe 6 years old when I watched my Mom drive away without me for the first time. My mother and her grandmother were yelling back and forth at the front door of our small house. I was little, so I sat and listened in the hallway, across from the door, trying to figure out what they were fighting about. It was a conversation I had heard before about my Mom’s recent decision to move to New York. My Granma obviously didn 't agree with it because she was young and had no way to support a little girl in a new place.…
