The most exciting thing I did the summer was go to Texas to visit my friend and we went to Turner falls in Oklahoma. It was so fun to see my best friend again and hangout out with her. I thought it was a fun experience to go visit her and see my other friends to. I was so excited to see my old house and old school. I went to Texas for my best friends birthday and I really enjoyed that.

“Failure always comes before success,” that’s what they all say, but in my case, it was never like that. Some are great in basketball, and some are experts in chess, but for me, it was public speaking. I loved it, it was what defined me, what made me feel confident. When I was in preschool, I went to my first poetry recital. It was only reciting a four lines of “Humpty Dumpty”, and I pretty sure I pronounced half of the words wrong, the experience was exhilarating, and ever since then, I was hooked to it.…

The day started off early, with a crisp breeze touching my pure, uncovered skin. I detected a hint of warmth that wisped around and hugged me tightly as the sun twirled higher into the cloudless sky. I was meeting up with a couple of friends to explore the seaside. Meredith, Ashley and I were so thrilled to finally go on one last enormous adventure together. We were in the spring break of our senior year and were all heading straight to our colleges when summer started to settle into our new homes.…

The white now-deformed cylinder clung to the carved stick as it melted. Before it could fall to its hot, fire-induced death, I whisked the stick away and carefully scraped the marshmallow onto the graham cracker square laden with delicious chocolate. As I delicately placed the camping creation onto my lips, the background noise of the wind and not-so-spooky stories calmed me as I watched the flames lick at the logs, slowly transforming them into ashes and embers. Everything was too perfect. I sat at the picnic table, and wondered if this was compensation for the last camping trip my family took, nearly a decade ago.…

As I walked into the room, I noticed a family photo the sadness I felt sadness took over my body; it was a Mum, a Dad and a daughter. I was at hoI myself, on the old leather couch as I sat there I heard soI myself seagulls flying outside.…

Introvert By:Sahil Patel 9-2 The cool summer breeze blew across my backyard, caressing my face. The sun drowned in the horizon, with its bright lights glimmering in the darkness of the clouds. The beginning of my freshman year was an absolute nightmare. I was already nervous enough because it was a new and bigger school, there would be unfamiliar faces, and possibly even more work and responsibility. Of course, who wouldn’t be nervous.
