Around 10 a.m. I woke up, stretched and brushed my teeth. I turned on my television, like my daily routine. Well, today was different. Every channel displayed, “Breaking News: ‘Evacuate your homes now and get to a safe location, a zombie apocalypse has started and is coming to an area near you’”. The first three things I decided I needed to do were a zombie apocalypse would be to gather my family who were uninfected, run out of town, and find someone creating an antidote.
It took checking my phone for over 300+ text messages to realize that the Zombie Apocalypse was real. Shocked. My survival instincts kicked in. I got dressed, rain boots, big, thick jacket, I was prepared. After replying to my mother, my aunts and uncles, a cousin, and my best friend’s text messages, we decided to all meet at my aunt's house to figure out a plan. As I continued to watch the channel 4 FOX News, I packed my bags and put them into my car. The news said there were safe zones in North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama and Arizona. Suddenly a zombie fell in the middle of the road out of nowhere, blocking our path. The car backed up and in the rear view is a zombie which startled everyone in the car. Then two others appeared and started attacking the car vigorously. The tall chubby zombie was really strong and cracked the windshield with its fist in one swing. I saw the red rage in his bloodshot eyes. Wow. There also was a short lanky zombie off to the side roaring its zombie gibberish at the two attacking, and started running towards the car! Immediately, my uncle reversed the car and ran clear over the zombie behind us and its corpse leaked out a mustard-colored, green substance that reminded me of liquid boogers. Yuck. Thankfully when we got back on track, we reached Alabama with no more zombie
