Zombie Apocalypse
Another boring day at school like always. After school, me and my friends went on a mysterious bike ride to somewhere we've never been to before. Then, we found a creepy abandoned place that looked like a rundown mall. So we went in the creepy abandoned mall, nothing happened, so we kept looking around and there was a lot things broken and destroyed. It looked like an army destroyed it, until we found a chair with someone in it, so we took small steps towards the person. BAM!!! he tried to attack us. So we ran as fast as we could to get out of the mall, and got on our bikes to get out of that place. We riding our bikes so fast we almost fell out of our seats. Then, when we saw the roads, on our street we found a lot of people outside in the dark, and then we figured out why they were outside, they were zombies!

We went to my house, because it was the closest, so the zombies won't eat our brains. When we got to my house, the lights were turning on and off. I said ¨Mom, dad are you ok?¨ bot no one answered. So me and my friend walked towards my mom and dad bye the light switch. I kept on saying their names but they never said anything. When I was about to touch my mom's shoulder, my friend said not to touch my mom’s shoulder because they might be zombies like the others. So, I thought he was right because they weren’t talking to me, so I did it anyways, AHHH!!!! My mom almost bit my arm off, but my dad bit my friends arm off. It looked nasty, you could see the blood gushing out the sight of his bone, made me sick, when he was about to die, he looked at me and

The Zombie Apocalypse is an event I feel I've been prepped for my entire life. Assuming typical scary movie rules apply: in order to survive I must find a rag tag group of people who are sane as well as very skill at using weapons. To help prevent being that that cliché person that trips, my team and I would raid a shoe store for well fitting, non slip shoes. Next we would wear various layers of coats just in case if we were caught, zombies would struggle to get to our flesh and we would have time escape from their grasp. Next we would travel north and go to a region that was not very populated prior to the apocalypse.…

I was handing out food with Herb at the closed down grocery store. The power outage was really taking its toll. Then in somewhat of a flash we both found ourselves on the first episode of season 19, on my favorite show Survivor! “Umm… is it just me or did we not sign up for this?” exclaimed Herb in a shocked voice. I wasn’t really sure either.…

We had been attempting it for months. We never thought that we would get far at all. The only thing that I knew was that it was going to be tough, tougher than finding a string of hay in a stack of needles. I had the entire match set up. Every player was ready, I made sure all our internet signals were wired in correctly and would not disconnect.…

Zombie Apocalypse Around 10 a.m. I woke up, stretched and brushed my teeth. I turned on my television, like my daily routine. Well, today was different. From television to novels to haunted houses, these monsters have become an influence not only in the realms of fantasy but in reality. The intrigue for these monsters comes not from the scares they provide, but rather how they mirror the lives of people across the world. Through his essay, My Zombie, Myself, Chuck Klosterman is able to effectively utilize allusions, anecdotes, and figurative language while exploring how the image of the zombie is embedded into society in order to illustrate how the lives of people in reality is not that far from the lives of those in the midst of the…

It is when we are asleep, we are given the power to let our minds wander. To lose all sense of reality and drift aimlessly through our subconscious thoughts and dreams. A time when all of our problems and struggles in the physical world slip away for a brief period of time. It is when we wake, we are forced to face the harsh reality of the world we live in. A world with crime and hate.…

g, I slam down the gas pedal, speeding down the road towards town. When we drove past the plaza with the orthodontist’s office, it was surrounded by zombies. Swearing loudly, I know I can’t get in there. I call my dad to make sure he’s alright, when he finally answers his phone, he had already been to the shed and grabbed a shotgun and was grabbing the spare gas containers and is going to fill them and grab more non perishable food for our emergency room. We had it for things like hurricanes or tornados, but I mean it would work against zombies as well.…

The creation of monsters like vampires and zombies presents itself as an allegory the “day to day existence.” Articles like “Why Vampires Never Die” by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan and “My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead “ by Chuck Klosterman emphasizes the correlation between folktale and reality. The difference between Folktale and reality is that folktale and reality is that folktale are variations of stories from many cultures, while reality is something that exist and can be proven. This creates room for the idea of death to be a significant aspect to the rise of monstrous beings, as listed prior. The idea of what happens after life, known as death varies amongst cultures and…

There are several legends or just stories regarding monsters that we have known since we were children and they have frightened us since we were young into our early teenage years. But if we really think about it, what might these monsters represent or why do we even have monsters. Authors attempted to look into the world of monsters more and attempt to identify more of what the monsters could symbolize or what they can represent regarding us, humankind. In other words, the authors explain their perspectives on how do monsters and their existence affect us, how do they represent what we are here for and more. Using the articles “My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead,” “Cursed by a Bite,” and “Monsters and Messiahs” I will help…

“A lot of modern life is exactly like slaughtering zombies.” This statement is true in the eyes of Chuck Klosterman, where he expresses opinions in his article “My Zombie, Myself: Why Modern Life Feels Rather Undead”. In correlation, to the movie Warm Bodies directed by Jonathan Levine one can see that there are many things that we can relate to in modern life that can also be seen in a zombie apocalypse world. For example, in both worlds you can see that once we adapt to our daily lives of work, school, invasion of zombies, and disease, we end up developing a predictable routine in life, no matter the situation. All in all, I believe that there are similarities in a zombie flesh eating world and in the modern world we live in today, we ourselves…

The Time I Got Stitches The worst thing that’s happened to me in my life was the time I had to get stitches. It was the summer of 2012. The weather was warm, but the wind was blazing. My cousin and I, who happened to live next door to each other in our old apartments were playing volleyball in the middle of the street, while our family were in the house hanging out. The ball we used was not hard so it could move with the wind.…

This pack was bigger than all the other packs that we had fought, so I knew Steven was going to get scared. I told him to run back inside and to not come out until I had told him to. I then yanked the machete from my backpack and began to swing, all of a sudden I was down on the ground screaming. I heard gunshots and saw zombies falling one by one, who was this shooting? I got up after all the zombies were “dead”, because they cannot be any deader than they already were, and looked around for the shooter.…
