Personal Narrative: You Owe Me For This Kinzie

Improved Essays
It was pitch black and I was laying there in the darkness. Suddenly my phone buzzed. The screen lit up the whole room. I sat up and looked at the message. “I’m coming with what you want.” The message made me apprehensive, but I knew I had to stay quiet. If my parents woke up they would be furious. Who knows what they would do to me if they found out what I was up to. I got out of bed, put on my shoes and grabbed the money off of my dresser. I slowly made my way to the stairs. I got another message, “You owe me for this Kinzie”. I slowly walked toward my parents room to make sure they were asleep, I peered in and they were out cold. Seeing that made me feel more confident that I wouldn’t get caught. As I made my way to the door, I heard someone

We then heard sirens in the distance that sounded like they were getting closer. Looking out the window, I noticed the man running down the street and out of the light. I did not fall asleep at all that night because I had no idea where to he was. As I laid there in bed, I thought to myself, maybe I shouldn't open the door to just anyone. Next time I might not be so…

My apologies; my schedule is incredibly busy (one of the pitfalls of having two majors) so by the time I checked my messages and realized that you were the one who called the workday was over. I will be volunteering at Harris Elementary School today from 2:30 - 4:40, so if you call me before (or after) then I should be able to answer. If I cannot get a hold of you today, I have classes from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on Thursdays, but I could leave my calculus class early and call you around 11:15 . If Thursday does not work either, I only have one class on Friday and could call you any time after 11:00. I would like to reiterate that I am sorry for missing your calls and look forward to talking to you…

Impossible! I went all over the country; most people were calling me a murderer. In 2000 after James’s death, half of the people thought that I was the one who killed him, but I was not the one guilty. On 8/25/2000, my friends and I were at the gun shop to buy a gun because we were a group of gangsters. James came into the market.…

Over the last few years, my mother has separated from my nuclear family. She simply stopped calling us and withdrew completely. I continued to call, but she ended the conversations abruptly or made an excuse not to talk to me. Up until two years ago we talked every few days, saw each other several times a month, and had never missed a holiday meal together. Mom severely limited our contact and decided it was not worth, “messing up either of our houses for a holiday dinner.”…

I have moved a couple times around my lifetime probably around five times if I count correctly. However, the biggest move that I ever made was one when I was in the middle of my fifth-grade year. This move happened due to seasonal work problems that my family was having. We lived in New Carlisle a small town in Ohio where my mother worked for a plant nursery while my father worked as a roofer, so due to this during the snowy months, which usually averages around three months, they were both unemployed. This made keeping up with the bills a hassle…

I started out with a passion to do great things in this world, but somehow lost my way. I was made to believe that I was nothing, an object, a possession that would never make it on my own. I would scream out for help, but it always seemed like everything was my fault. I was trapped. Locking yourself in an upstairs room and a call to the cops; crying out for help somehow turned into being your fault and if they get another call you would be the one in jail.…
