Personal Narrative: Woofie

My most memorable toy would be have to be my stuffed dog, Woofie. Yes, what an original name to have for a stuffed dog. It is easily my most favorite due to it being in my life ever since the day I was born. Since that day, it was as if I always had my own little pet that was in turn a friend I would take anywhere. It was actually because of Woofie that my family had gotten our labradoodle, Maxx. I will begin with Woofie where it all started, and that was CGH Medical Center. It was December 5, 1997, and my mother just gave birth to me at around 8:32 P.M. and my dad couldn’t be more excited. He went down to the hospital gift store and bought my mom a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and felt as if he should get me something as well. What he ended up …show more content…
I was being pulled in one of those child carts behind the bike, and of course I had Woofie right to my side. I am not sure what overcame me at the time, but I was dangling Woofie outside of the cart and just kind of released any touch with him. When we finally arrived back home, that is when hell broke loose and I was upset over the absence of my stuffed animal. We all had to pile into our car, and retrace the exact route that was taken on the bikes. With the greatest amount of luck, we drove upon Woofie laying on the side of the road, unharmed. I was beyond ecstatic and couldn’t believe we found him. Shortly after that incident, I was going through my closet and towards the very top, discovered an identical Woofie stuffed dog. I was appalled at what I found and without hesitation, brought it in the living room and asked my parents why there is a twin Woofie. This is when I first realized the immense love my parents had for me, and knew if anything happened to my toy, they would quickly have to fix the situation. To this day, Woofie sits upon a lamp in my bedroom reminding me of the large part he used to play in my
