Personal Narrative: Wisconsin Dells

Fore! Out of nowhere, a ball dropped right next to my dad and me. Golfing is one of the many things that Wisconsin Dells holds for kids of all ages. I visit there yearly with my friend Lexi for her dance competitions over the summer; however, I also go with my family for vacation during the winter. Amidst unlimited adventures to do such as water parks, hiking trails, and the beautiful green golf courses, the Dells is definitely on the top of my list for my favorite destination. Wisconsin Dells holds not only water parks, but many resorts. I always stay at the Wilderness Resort that has 13 indoor and outdoor water parks. The rush of excitement I get when I race down a slide 5 stories high with the floor dropping underneath my feet is indescribable! …show more content…
Because of that fact, I think it makes hiking more fun and enjoyable. We get to adventure places we don't have the ability to see every day and get to witness unique things about Wisconsin that we wouldn't have been able to recognize otherwise. I remember being amazed by how many colors were on the trees within not even a mile length. Red, orange, yellow, and green flooded the earth with the vibrant colors, and the smell of lilac filled the air. In the end, hiking can just be an activity that your family does; but, it is the things you do during the trip that helps make memories and make the place worth …show more content…
Wisconsin definitely has one of my favorite golf courses that I have ever played at. While I visited the Wilderness Resort there was a golf course next to the cabin I was staying in with my family, so it was in walking distance. There was frost on the grass and the air was crisp with the sun just rising into the sky. Looking at the course I could tell immediately that there are challenging holes with many sand traps and hills. At this time golf was new to me and I have only played once or twice. I was slowly growing on to it and a passion for it was thriving. My dad was teaching me what I needed to know about golf and he thought that I had potential for becoming a great golfer with practice. Overall, I think back at this time and smile because it was the time I realized that I wanted to pay more attention to my golf game, join a team, and take it more seriously.

In conclusion, the Dells is by far my favorite destination, my most cherished vacation I have been on and definitely holds a dear place in my heart. It was a time for bonding with my best friend, connecting with my family, and discovering that I like a sport and find my passion for it in my life. I look forward to visiting each year and am excited for the adventures and new memories that will come from my next trip to

Before starting my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to attend the BB&T Atlanta Open. Watching the players up close and meeting them sent a wave of thrill throughout my body, and I felt an adrenaline rush during each point. Since I made lots of significant memories and enjoyed each moment, I was able to attend the same tournament the year before I started college. While each experience had a similar feel, there were some contrasting qualities, such as who participated in the tournament and where my family and I selected to eat. Since I had attended the BB&T Atlanta the year before, making a list of what to pack was much easier.…

If you are ever in the United States and happen to travel to Chicago, Illinois, don't forget to check out one of the best golf courses in Chicago--at the Chevy Chase Country Club. Golf became popular in America in the 1890s. The wealthy classes formed private golf clubs where they could play. Then just like today, its appeal depended on time and money. We must change this perception that golf only allows businessmen to get to know each other and do deals between shots and that only those privileged can play. Golf needs to be aimed and marketed to kids more than ever, it builds character as well as relationships.…
