Personal Narrative: Winter Gas Law

In the winter, our gas got disconnected until the fall when the winter gas law had it turn it back on. My sister and I spent a lot of time at my Grandma’s house, because we couldn’t dry our clothes in a dryer and there wasn’t hot water for showers. My parents would heat water in a giant slow cooker we had that is similar to an oven, but can boil water fast and uses electricity instead of gas. This last summer, my mom got her job back for a while so we could keep up with the gas bill. In the middle of July, the gas bill got too piled up from the bill we owed from last year. The gas was then shut off again for a week, until the check came so we could pay part of the bill. A week after the gas came on; our electricity got shut off for fifteen
