Personal Narrative: Why Me

When the first person who had come up with the bright idea to say that it’s always the quiet ones you have to be leery of than looked around for someone to verify the truth and pointed in my direction, someone should have warned me so I could kick their ass. The only words that came to mind when I had realized that I was being used as the example is Why Me? I had a perfect reason why I would think this way is quite simple. After seeing a picture of her, I knew I was going for a trifecta with this one. I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start at the beginning. My parents' marriage was arranged and his family was clearly the lesser of the two. Although families like ours have arranged marriages for business and or political purposes, it isn’t unheard of some affection towards the couple do happen. My parents didn’t fall into that category, but they did respect one another and a semi-friendship did grow. As I was told by a few of the nosier household staff, after I was born the two of them started sharing the same bedroom and had become much closer. Like you would turn a page in a book, she showed the document under it and I knew why there was no way I would be able to get out of this… nightmare.
