Decent Essays
I tried to be tough online. One time my friend started saying that girls are weak and other comments. So I made a picture of me jumping off a very high diving board so I can them that I was not scared. It did not work but instead i told them that it is not nice saying names like that then they stopped. So i could have handled the situation much better.

When people act obnoxious and disrespectful, I would just like to go up to them and say “I was at about six there. Don’t make me go to ten”, a quote said by Dale in Step Brothers. My pet peeves involve the disrespectful actions of high school students. It really irks me when people in band just don’t play their music correctly or march properly. If we have been practicing the same song for a short amount of time, then I understand if most don’t pick up the notes right away.…

I managed to reach a point where I began making false promises to myself and others about addressing my situation. Among those empty promises was the one where I claimed I would give up drinking, attend rehab and try to get my life back on track. I even fiddled with the thought of seeking inpatient assistance if things weren't working as planned. Let's be clear and fair.…

Some content may never be deleted and can stay on-line forever. For example, when a video goes viral, this video may be reproduced and shared amongst millions of people, a great chance it will haunt you forever. You can escape on-line bullying by closing your page, or ignoring the comments. As much as you try, it may not be that easy. Even if you are able to get something deleted, for example a comment or page, the person doing the bullying is anonymous.…

It wasn’t until the 1990’s that the internet became popular. Now today it is used for everything from shopping, to watching videos, to communicating with peers over social media. Although, in some cases, the internet is a place where people can rant and vent about how they feel about something or someone. Sometimes, so much so, that it turns into cyberbullying. When it comes to the fine art of poetry, there is a fine line differing between good and bad. But how do you decipher when poetry is good? In my opinion, you can differ a piece of flawless literature from mediocre based purely upon the feeling it invokes. A piece of amazing literature can cause the reader to experience emotions that they would likely feel if they were genuinely in that situation, putting them in the shoes of the speaker within the piece of literature. In my opinion, an example of this is the poem “Troll” written by Shane Koyczan.…

The relationship I chose to analyze for my interpersonal communication paper was the relationship I had with my ex-girlfriend Laura. We met in high school through mutual friends and we dated throughout my junior and senior years. Communication problems and trust issues eventually were too big of a barrier to knock down and our relationship ended there. The main concepts I chose to analyze about my previous relationship were Personal Language, Nonverbal Communication, Proximity, the Social Penetration Theory, and lastly Relationship Threats. Personal Language shows your true self and is how you express your individuality and it is also more common in a private setting.…

Throughout my whole life I would often try to balance out my real life identity towards my online identity. In my real life identity, I am mostly identifyed as the shy and quiet person in the room. I would try to not cause any trouble, treat people with respect even when they don't deserve it and be known to talk really, really quietly. Meanwhile, In my online identity, I would be getting into arguments with people and be swearing at them online just to assume that I am not afraid and I am this big and tough guy in person. Would write my honest opinion about things even though most people would not agree with it…

If you want to be a bully and embarrass or torture someone as easily and as fast as you can, the internet is the place to do it (Parry). Twitter and Facebook are truly a nightmare to get on when you’re a victim of cyberbullying. Bullies tend to post photos and videos anonymously for the world to see (“What is Cyber Bullying”). They think it is safe to post anonymously because they feel they are less likely to get in trouble by parents or teachers. When things are posted on the internet or sent as text messages, no one truly knows what the words mean; they are just black words on a white screen.…
