Personal Narrative: Why I Love To Take Risks

Decent Essays
Yes, I personally love to take risks. I enjoy many different risk taking activities. Life is all about taking first steps, and I love a challenge. At work, when a patient presents themselves for a blood draw and states, "I am a hard stick" this encourages me to try my best and get the specimen on the first try. When dealing with extreme sports, I am the first one in line to play. I enjoy the danger and the adventure that goes along with an extreme activity, such as skydiving, zip lining and bungie jumping. When participating in extreme sports your heart rate is elevated, as well as your adrenaline. I enjoy extreme sports because I am addicted to the feeling of high adrenaline rate flowing though my body. I remember once when skydiving it felt

A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…

The Arrival I had originally planned to travel to Rio on September 5th through September 12th. A perspicacious and experienced hunter named Rainsford accompanied me. It was nighttime when I first spotted land of any sort. It was vaguely visible and was opaque, so misty that even Rainsford couldn’t see it. Utterly tired, I began drifting off, dreaming of the adventures we were soon to face.…

At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…

Jack London once said,¨ The proper function of man is to live, not exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.¨ The quote states that you shouldn't live a boring life, you should enjoy life and do crazy things until your last breath. Extreme sports are a good way to do these things because you can be fascinated, be a little terrified, and have some goosebumps. Extreme sports are dangerous, but they bring us that adrenaline rush and happiness.…
