Personal Narrative: Why I Love Soccer

Improved Essays
Do you like or love to play sports? If you do, how about soccer? Well, I know I love soccer. I love soccer because I really like to run, I love most of all sports, I’m good at it, but most of all… it’s soccer. Quickly! Run around in circles, your life depends on it! Soccer. Yep, that’s soccer. I’m not going to lie. Soccer is dangerous. Maybe not as dangerous as football or hockey, but still pretty dangerous. Go for the ball and kick it in the other team’s goal. Seems pretty simple, doesn’t it? Well, it isn’t as simple as it looks. Go for the ball, kick him in the shin. Though this doesn’t stop me from loving it (the best sport ever.) Yeah, it’s just like McDonald's. I’m loving it! As you’re reading this, you might be wondering, run around …show more content…
Especially for the legs. But, of course, YOU might think otherwise. He’s going, going, GOAL! AND HE SCORED! And YOU scored! Or did you? Yeah, sure you kicked a ball into the other team’s goal, but how did you kick it? Slide tackle kick it? Heel kick it? Maybe even head hit it? There are many, many moves in soccer. I mean, a lot. A REAL lot. More than you ( or I) can even count! Yeah, that’s how many. If you want to be a good soccer player, you should have good agility, good speed, and good eyesight. You don’t need this stuff, but you will be better off if you do. It also comes in handy if you are planning to win the championship games. Someone scores the winning goal, everyone goes wild. Don’t you LIKE that? Well, yeah it feels good, but you WON. You won for your team. You SHOULD be happy. Not happy, but AWESOME! Though, one problem, everyone ambushes you. You get trampled. You fall on the ground and feel pain. Pain, yeah. But GOOD pain. You should still feel awesome. You are crowned MVP. Most Valuable Player. I’m not sure if this matters, but it IS fun! Soccer is my favorite sport because there are much more kicks and moves than you think. Sure you KICK the ball. But how? Like I mentioned before, more moves than you can even count. You slide tackle too. Most soccer games are not slide-tackle friendly. And, well, YAY for that! As you can see, I do not like slide tackles. I’m not slide tackle friendly either. Most slide tackles are actually considered as penalties and the other team has the ball. YAY for that
