My parents obviously were trying to get me the most time in with my friends before the move. When my parents finally told us it wasn’t as bad as I would expect. I had my suspicions and my brother didn’t have many good friends to begin with down there. The only thought in my mind for the next few days was how was my friends going to react. Florida is a land of sun palm trees and sand. Florida being a southern state with sweet tea, Publix, and Disney just a few hours away, had many perks. I had never thought of what it might be like to grow up in a northern area, or just even outside of Florida. Up until my 14th summer I had always assumed everyone lived the same way I did. It had all started when I got accepted to a summer program in Washington D.C to attend a medical forum.…

What started my love of swimming was when I was at a tender age of three my parents took me to Florida, I observed other kids taking swimming lessons and I decided to start swimming right then and there. On top of that, part of my old school’s curriculum was to have swimming once or twice a week. One of the many reasons why my parents and I moved to Florida was because of my love of swimming. Even though I started school with an exorbitant amount of homework, my parents and I swam at an olympic size pool religiously every Sunday.…

I was in a deep sleep dreaming about my life until BOOM, my mom came in and told me to wake up. I was walking to the bathroom like a zombie to the bathroom brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and changing my clothes. We had to get to the airport as quickly as possible, because our flight leaves at five o’clock in the morning. Visiting Miami, Florida a few years ago was quite an experience, being able to visually perceive sundry locations, including sundry shops showed me different cultures as well as people of different ethnicities. I had never in my life encountered a place like this before, especially a place on the east side of the country. As we ambulated around I visited sundry places and met people who verbalized thoroughly different languages, then I am used to, we then came upon the most important place on the trip, the ocean. As I stood and looked towards what would later be known to me as the Atlantic Ocean. Did I notice that somewhere in the distance was a region of water called the Bermuda Triangle.…
