I entered high school with mega-anxiety. I kept my head down and wouldn’t look anyone in the eye. There was not one thing I didn’t hate in the whole school. I discovered all this on my first day of freshman year. I came home and cried. My mom was extremely worried about me hating high school, and I honestly wish she hadn’t worried so much. I turned out okay, and while I may not have loved my years at Gibson Southern, they made me realize a lot about life. Lesson 1: do not wear floral pants. Just don’t do it. They’re not flattering, and while freshman year Emma might have seen them as funky or whatever, senior year Emma is extremely embarrassed to have ever owned them. Lesson 2: Don’t trust them.
