The first portion of Who You Are As A Writer, Portrait of a Writer, allowed me to think about what rules I use during my writing consciously and subconscious; it also me look back at past experiences that have shaped my writing process. During first portion, I was required to record myself whenever I worked on the assignment because the recordings would be used in the second portion of the assignment, Autoethnography. It was a bit awkward and distracting to work on the assignment while taking notes what was going on with my writing process. Eventually, I was more comfortable in front of the camera, but I decide to focus more on paper rather than trying to write notes on what was happening in my writing process. The Portrait of a Writer let me reflect on what I thought my writing process and the inner workings of it. While the Autoethnography actually showed me my writing process and let me figure out what methods were more effective for my writing. Finally, the feedback portion of the assignment gave me an unbiased opinion on where my paper was in relation to answering the questions without it seeming as if I was making a list or answering the questions in order.
