Personal Narrative: When I Break Copyright Laws

Decent Essays
One time I broke copyright laws were when I was tying to download a music song for free without knowing that I had broken the copyright laws. My actions might have affected the author or publisher and other people who participated in making the song because if your getting a song for free that means your going to lose money as the publisher of the song and for the other people who have worked on the music. The steps I might take next time to be more legal and fair are trying to pay for my own music from the publisher, to inform the website published to take the music off and finally to try to inform the author to do it themselves and tell the website published to take the music

When I think about my personal code of ethics I think of the golden rule. Treat others how you would want to be treated. I have had lots of customer service experience which transfers to helping patients. You need to have people skills, good communication skills and all. The way I would bring my code of ethics into my profession would be to respect my co-workers, the patients and anyone I would come in contact with in the professional setting.…

In the middle of my sophomore year, I was asked by a senior if I would like to be the president of a dance club they had started that year. The club members knew that I was apart of a well known dance studio. I was indecisive primarily because the club only had 3 members and so I did not know how I could make it into something starting off alone and young, but something told me to just go for it. And that I did.…

This makes me mad, because to get an innocent child involved in your criminal activities is a shame. I know that the Fourth Amendment protects all United States citizens against unlawful search and seizure of contraband. In this case, I think that during a traffic stop law enforcement had probable cause she had drugs in her possession and they search her. She had a history of possession and selling drugs.…

I managed to reach a point where I began making false promises to myself and others about addressing my situation. Among those empty promises was the one where I claimed I would give up drinking, attend rehab and try to get my life back on track. I even fiddled with the thought of seeking inpatient assistance if things weren't working as planned. Let's be clear and fair.…

I would like to believe that I learned my personal ethics from my family more importantly my parents. Growing up my parents thought me many things that had several messages attached to them. Those messages I now use on a daily basis most importantly in my career. One of the ethics that I could remember is to be caring and loyal friend, neighbor, family, or co-worker. Having these two ethicses has guided me to the field of psychology and is still helping me.…

The Syrian farmers’ lands have dried up, climate change and over-damming along the Tigris, along with the Euphrates has forced them to migrate towards the urban center in search of government assistance. Arriving, exhausted and subdued nevertheless, seeking sanctuary, finding only a failing government, along with the burning wheel of revolt. I met that farmer and in my elaborate effort to find a theory that befits his struggle, to provide some type of guidance or comfort to offer him, sadly all i had left to give was a penny with a hole in it. As I volunteered amidst the refugees in za'atari camp ( the largest Syrian refugee camp at approximately 80,000 and now considered to be the fourth largest city in Jordan) and Jerash camp (Palestinian refugee camp resulting from the 1948 exile)…

The Arrival I had originally planned to travel to Rio on September 5th through September 12th. A perspicacious and experienced hunter named Rainsford accompanied me. It was nighttime when I first spotted land of any sort. It was vaguely visible and was opaque, so misty that even Rainsford couldn’t see it. Utterly tired, I began drifting off, dreaming of the adventures we were soon to face.…

Whether we know it or not in this modern society we are writers everyday of our lives. These interactions shape not only how we communicate but how we write as well. Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Those same influences contributed to both my writing style in the classroom and to my identity as a writer. I spent a lot of my childhood with my nose deep in fiction novels at near by libraries.…

“Article1, Section8, Clause8 of the constitution gives congress the power to make laws: to promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited time to authors and inventors exclusive right to respective writings and discoveries” (U.S. Copyright Office). Every person in this world has an individual creativity built within them. My individual creativity personally took me a while to uncover, I only recently unearthed my true creativity during my junior year. I express my creativity through makeup, poetry, painting, drawing and redecorating my surroundings such as my room which I like to think of as my sanctuary because it’s the only place I can disconnect myself from everything, focus on myself and reflect on my days. Makeup is my main outlet of expression since that’s the one that’s in the spotlight and is a quote on quote paraded for the public eye to see when used correctly and minimally to enhance ones beauty it makes a person look more presentable and put together. I was inspired to write…
