The day after Kate is loaned her guitar, her mom takes her shopping for school shoes. But this year, Kate doesn’t want her usually tennis shoes. This year she wants boots. At first Kates mom is shocked. After a few minutes of convincing her mom to go half and half with her, Kate’s mom budges. Exhausted for the shopping Kate and her mother walk to the food court to get a drinks. Once finding a clean table, Kate sits down as her mother orders for her.
