Sharp needles poking at your gums, metal clanking on your teeth, and the sight of nervous children are all ways to describe how someone sees a dentist. I know I can change that. Aspiring to transform the way a person thinks about a Dentist is something I know I can do for my family, community, and the world. If you would give me the opportunity to express my love and dedication to the dental field, you will be astounded with my overall work ethic. I’m experienced, reliable, responsible, and educated for this position at your Dental office, and yearn for the chance to begin to make my change in the dental…

I was not comfortable with my smile and in turn was not comfortable with myself. I never realized the true power dentists really had until my braces came off three years later and I saw how beautiful my smile was and how much it had transformed. I found myself smiling more than I ever had and that's when I realized what I want to do. I want to give back and help other people become more confident in their smiles just like my dentist’s work had instilled confidence in me.…
The Effect of Writing Techniques Writing can be one of the most complex notions to comprehend because it only takes few strategies to inspire the reader, or a couple complicated sentences to lose the reader. Luckily, In Poor Teeth, by Sarah Smarsh, she strategically uses writing techniques to enhance the content and better portray her purpose for the composed text. More specifically, she cleverly incorporates statistics, real life examples, and uses public figures to convey her message in a persuasive fashion. Toward the beginning, Smarsh talks about the massive amount of people without dental coverage and its harmful effects. (She explains; In this day and age, society as a whole tends to neglect the importance of dental coverage.)…
If you feel a sharp pain or twinge in your teeth when you eat or drink hot or cold food or beverages, you may have tooth sensitivity. Many people are affected by this common dental condition that may happen often or sporadically. When you visit your dentist in Frisco TX, he or she will tell you that in normal, healthy teeth, tooth enamel and gums protect the dentin, which is the calcified tissue that surrounds the tooth pulp and nerve. Over time, enamel wears down and gums can recede, exposing more of the dentin to irritants. Although age is a factor in tooth sensitivity, there are a number of ways you might be contributing to the problem: 1.…
People can stain their teeth in more ways than one. A big silent killer is drinking anything that is highly acidic. According to Professor Laurence Walsh, some highly acidic drinks, like orange juice, can do more damage to teeth than soft drinks. Soft drinks and citric juices are the top contenders in dental erosion. The reason being there are acids contained in these drinks that dissolve any hard surfaces of the teeth that are exposed, such as the enamel.…
Thousands of people are terrified of going to the dentist, but there are many other methods are available to help those who fear it. Going to the dentist is better than not going at all. There are too many diseases that have been linked or related to bad oral care and if there is a way people can be aware, then we can stop the spread of these diseases and even save lives. This is why young kids should start to understand good oral health at an early age, resulting in avoiding horrible and possibly life-threatening diseases. “More and more research just keeps pouring in that confirms all the connections between health of the mouth and the resulting health of the body.”…
Since I was a child, I have always been interested in helping people, but how could I do that when I refused to talk unless it was mandatory? From my early elementary school memories, I can remember hating my teeth. Like most children, my teeth were crooked and weren’t a bright white, however, one of my front teeth protruded to the point where I was called a “vampire” and “beer opener”. Now looking back it’s funny, but, for the longest time, my teeth were one of my biggest insecurities. I would often beg my parents for braces, but they would also say, “Melinda you have to wait, not all of your baby teeth have fallen out yet”.…
