Improved Essays
It seems like every day that someone comes up to my brother and I asking,” Are you twins? What is it like to be a twin?” Aside from our near identical appearance, we always seem to top it off by answering at the same time, making people think,”wow they really are the same.” When seventh grade came this all stopped. Having been separated in every class and in after school activities, I found my own world away from my brother.Furthermore, we were also separated at home because we got our own rooms for the first time. With everything pulling us apart at once, I began to make my own friends and learn to do things on my own for the first time. I can now reflect back on this time of my life and see that it is a pivotal moment in my independence and …show more content…
I try to be the best student I can be in every activity and find this to be very helpful. This led to picking up tennis, disc golf, and going to the gym which are my main pastimes. I take part in each of these activities multiple times per week and always try to improve. I believe that this can be transferred to anything that I put my mind to and will help me to adapt to the new found freedoms that come with going to college and detaching from many things that make up my life today. I have confidence in myself moving forward that I can make the best of my opportunities. It is inevitable that we would be considered as one by those who do not know us. On paper we may not look much different but our habits and personalities are different. When people ask any one of our friends they will tell them that the difference is clear and that it is simple to tell us

My experiences, academic background and personality are three key aspects of my life that make the medical field a preference and a particularly suitable field for me. Riding on ambulances and volunteering at the squad provided much-needed insight into the field and taught me valuable skills, such as patient care and effective communication. After completing a four-month intensive EMT course and state exam, I can proudly say that I am now a New Jersey certified EMT.…

It became frustrating at times because we were always placed in the same school and programs up until high school. At times people wouldn’t even get the chance to remember our names and instead call us “Twins”. My sister, Tiara and I always hated it. It’s frustrating knowing that no matter what I do; I would never be seen as myself rather than “the twins”. In school we would try to do different hairstyles, wear different things even if we both liked it, just so people wouldn’t think we were the same.…
