Personal Narrative: What I Learned In English Class

Every day at school goes by great except for when the clock strikes 1:00 p.m. This means it is time for yet another day in English class, which I absolutely dread due to the simple fact of not being good at it. I honestly do not know how this could get any worse.
Ever since I had to take English in school, I absolutely despised it. Never did I come into English with a preconceived idea of how I would feel about it, however, from the very first day I knew I was not a fan. I remember being great in all of my other subjects but never could I get a grasp on English. Honestly, it drove me insane to have good grades in each of my other subjects but always have a hard time with English. This whole process proved to me that hard work and true dedication really does pay off in the end. It is the best feeling to be able to look back at all of the times that I felt self-conscious about my writing abilities and know that I have made incredible strides to get to where I am now. I could not be happier about how everything turned out in the end since I can now help other people who are not very confident in their writing skills. I want to be able to motivate other individuals that are experiencing the same problem that I had and hopefully successfully improve their writing skills as well. I can now say that English no longer has a negative hold on me due to my decision to get help in order to improve my writing skills.
Overall, one can truly tell that in the very beginning, I had a hateful relationship with English. However, considering that I had someone who believed in me and I took the initiative to get better, I found out that English is not bad at all. In fact, English is now one of my favorite subjects. I would not change one thing about my continuous struggle with English, considering it got me to where I am
