My parents would fight, who's did not, but I paid them no mind as I was focused on what candy I could sneak in my room. When we moved to a new place, I noticed things, things I'd never noticed before. My parents hated each other and the fighting got worse. I couldn't hide

I was 10 years old. I looked from the edge of the mat, unaware about the endeavor I was about to take the moment my foot touched that mat. I finally decided to walk on, like they had taught me by bowing, it was the first of a near million times I was going to do this. I was a white belt, at the best taekwondo centers in the area. All the kids, stood to the side eerily silent, waiting for instructions.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

What I learned about myself is that I have potential for being a global manager. Looking over the questions, I tend to lack in my experiences more than my actual skills. What I’ve learned is that I can adapt quick and connect with people easily, but I don’t have many experiences in it. To widen my range of experiences I would most likely have to travel more and emerge myself directly into new cultures. I would also have to study different languages a bit more for that is an area I very much lack in.…

How many lessons have you been taught while growing up? For me many, but in particular there’s one that sticks out. I’ll never forget the time my Mom instilled in me the value of saying I can not I can’t. We were at my Dad’s property going through his possessions and I was riding my bike. As a child, having rules to follow wasn’t unheard of with my family. There was always a way to behavior with friends/family, at school, at home and out in the street. Often I found myself getting into trouble because I didn 't listen and also the fact that I always found some kind of way to slipping out of having to doing something that I knew I was supposed to do.
