One of the important things that I learned about my learning style in this week is the visual learner. The visual learner learns so fast when he sees the picture or something that he wants to know. He likes to read the task more than twice before doing it. He likes to work from lists and written directions and instructions. It is someone who reads a lot to find out the truth. For example, if he needs to fix something that doesn’t work, he must read the instruction first. These are what I learned this week about my leaning

My classroom procedures are very clear, which the class has become familiar with over the semester. Students are to come in from their special class and grab their materials and go sit on the carpet and get ready for math to begin. These are expectations that should be memorized by now. Many of them do this and it contributes to the flow of the classroom and the engagement level of the entire groups. Semester of Learning Experiences People most always say, “ Learn from you mistakes and achievements.” I would definitely conclude that is exactly what I’ve done this first semester of college. There are many times that I wanted to simply curl into a ball because of all the newness and unfamiliarity. At times I found myself doing just that, but realizing that I needed to toughen up burst from my comfort zone. I can say sleeping through your classes never the best choice, not going just because you find it too easy, missing a class just to write a paper for another class, and differentiating between minimal and highly important status of choices.…

I do not plan on transferring as most of my friends have, but I will to push myself to be proud of my decision I have made to stay at BC. I have gained, experience, knowledge, lost, and understand most things that I have been exposed to in my twenty years of life. One goal I have is pass the GKE (General Knowledge Exam). The first step would be to fully understand what the GKE is and what kind of tests I need to do to pass this exam. The second step would be to study as much as possible to ensure a passing score.…

Since starting high school, my interest in classroom learning had dropped quite significantly. I felt like grades were just a game, and that I should be out in the world learning things I deemed "practical life skills." My senior year I was able to mentor in a classroom of fourth graders for one period, ever other day. I took the class thinking it would be an easy and fun way to spend an hour an a half.…

Learning Plan Audit Creating a learning plan was a challenging task for me. Having challenged my third year practicum, I missed out on some practice in identifying attainable and timely goals. The initial version of my learning plan was very vague, which made it more difficult for me to focus on specific tasks during the first half of my placement. However, at the midpoint meeting, my supervisor and I reviewed my learning plan and made key changes that ultimately helped me focus my learning experience. In this paper I will reflect on and discuss my initial learning plan and address the changes that need to be made to insure my success during my practicum.…

I remember when I was 5, the first time I went to a building daily for 8 hours. I sat down on the cold blue chair. In front of me was a bin of crayons, all the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. I remember sitting in the cold room and having the freedom to draw marks on my blank sheet of paper. The dye scratching against the table, colors spreading across the canvas like the sun, rising in the early morning.…

To tell about a life experience that will impact my education and drive me through my educational journey could be a simple statement of how I would want to better myself, be a stronger provider for my family or maybe even so I could impact lives through a new field of work. If I were to tell you these things, I would be lying. The driving force for this decision is not my own. Since I was a young girl I have always done as I was told from my parents, get a job, graduate High School, go to college, grow up and get married and have children. I have done this with one exception; I never graduated.…
