Before high school, I always thought I was an average student, but when I transitioned into high school, people started to point out that I had potential. I began to work harder than I had ever before and I began to accelerate in every course. This never took a toll on me till the tenth grade, when my mental health started degrading. Anxiety was my first foe. During the beginning of the tenth grade, I had set high expectations for myself and it began to affect my life greatly For instance, after finishing the test, I would think about just one specific question that I thought I completed wrong.…
The Summer of 2015 provided me with an incredible learning experience. I worked as a counselor at a Jewish sleep-away camp, where I spent two four-week sessions supervising 20 ten-year old campers. Some of my responsibilities included planning and leading weekly programs for the Sabbath, developing team-building activities, and providing a fun, enjoyable, and safe environment for my campers 24/7. I accepted the position as a role model for these girls and was always "on top of my game."…
One thing I will miss about summer is having the freedom to do want I want and when I want to do it. I think that summer just lowers my stress and makes me feel better and more active. I love sleeping in and not having to wake up to an alarm clock. Being tired and not in a good mood. I also like when I could stay up late in summer and watching movies and stuff.…
Over the summer I did not do much at all. One thing I did do is play a lot of video games and binge watch shows and fixing Skyrim. There was this one game I played called ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ for the Playstation 4 (PS4). It had been on my overwhelming list of games I want to play and games I just want to have in my collection.…
That Day in Fourth Grade “People come into our lives for a reason, bringing something you must learn, and we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return. -Glinda” One of my best friends today, Teonna Frye, has influenced a lot of the choices that have made me into who I am today. I first met her as a “not-so-little,” brown-haired fourth grader. She was a giant that towered over all the kids in our grade.…
1.) I won't procrastinate that often as much as I did back in middle school. I can stop doing this by completing or working on assignments the day that I'm assigned them. I can also fix this by not being lazy. 2.)…
I also swam this summer. We would go on the pontoon and then go to the beach. My family and I would hang out there all day with friends. Me and my brother always play catch with a football. There is also a rope swing at the beach too.…
On the second week of summer, Alexandra and Marissa were sitting in Marissa’s room trying to figure out what they should do for the rest of the summer. They were so desperate to do something and also really needed money. While they were thinking, Julianna and Cassandra walked in. Alexandra, Marissa, Julianna and Cassandra were all really great friends that do everything together.…
My summer was very fun and I will tell you all about it. I went to Pismo Beach with my family. We went in the beach to eat out. We also went to Las Vegas. Our hotel looked like a castle.…
I’m a geek. The summer before 7th grade I really didn’t care what people thought of me. The summer before Freshman year I realized who I am. I’m not that popular but I have two friends, they just don’t live close anymore.…
I wake up in the morning, i get ready, drink my coffee and scroll thru the mornings news. I put my shoes on and was on my way to school. Driving to school with all my friends in the morning is fun, it makes you forget how awful school really is. I get to school, park my car and walk into 1st period. My teacher then proceeds to ask us for our essays due from the night before.…
This summer was definitely one to remember. I may not have had the most exciting or eventful summer, but I cannot complain. I was constantly doing something with work, friends, and football. When I looked back on this summer, I mostly remember working and working.…
I got to know more about my Uncle Paul at the beach which was awesome. The good part about that experience was having the greatest time and getting to know my Uncle Paul more. I would do that again with waves as dreadful as…
Have you ever been on a trip that you wish you could just have another few days because you’re having so much fun? Sometimes it’s because you didn't give yourself enough time or you're just having too much fun. I know exactly how that feels. These past two weeks, I spent in Ireland. Normally once a year we go for a month but because of summer school starting on the June 19th, we only had 16 days there.…
As junior year was coming along fairly quickly I knew I had to prepare myself with my future as a marine after high school. So that 's when I contacted my marine recruiter SSGT Nunez - he was here a while ago under the tent at the turf, you may have met him. I think my junior was my best year because I had better grades in all my classes but English surprise surprise huh. I was a cadet for the Foothill division for about 3 years.…
