Personal Narrative: What Binds The Family Together Is Love By Esperanza

Decent Essays
What binds the family together is love. I know this because Esperanza talks about he smell of her mom's hair. For her to smell her mom's hair she needs to be held by her mom with love, not just a simple hug. She alos stated she fely safe with her mom. Also, when she goes to sleep with her mom and her mom scoots over leaving the spot warm. I also know she feels love with the smell of her mom's hair because when i was tiny I remember being held by my mom and telling her her hair smelled good, also feeling safe no matter what was going on around us.

In the discombobulation of day to day life, all types of people are going to try to knock you down. This hardship was experienced personally by Brenda Roza as she realized that “there may not be that person next to you that's going to speak up for you”. There is no reason for strangers being malicious, to try to knock other people down when they’re not even known to you. “It is not easy for those who have had happier childhoods, with little restraint or fear in them, to face up to the truth of this childhood of Richard Wright.” After Richard Wright published his autobiography, a critic said people with easier childhoods could not fathom what a childhood like Wright's would be like. This statement is wrong and unfair. There is no way someone could know exactly what a harsh childhood is like if they did not have one.
