Just two weeks ago, Mrs. Scharpenberg came into our 2nd period Advanced Placement Language class with a signup sheet, stating that we could go on the annual AP field trip to Cedar Point. The paper was passed around the room, until it got to me. I stared at the paper for several moments, undecided on whether or not to go. I had never been on a roller coaster before, let alone seen one. On one hand, I was somewhat terrified thinking of the rides. On the other, the thought of skipping school and having the time of my life with my friends also made me excited. Finally, I said, “Screw it,” and wrote my name down.

I could hardly sleep, due to the excitement and fear that that overcame me. I woke up the next morning at roughly 5:30, since we had to be at the school at 6:30. I went out to start my car, but it wouldn’t even turn over. At that point I was incredibly stressed out. I went inside and called my mom and told her what happened and told her she would have to take me. She begrudgingly got out of bed, put on flip flops and a coat, and drove me to the school. I climbed on the bus, pillow in one hand, and a phone charger in the other and sat down in a seat. Once everyone was on the bus and accounted for, we left, and I quickly fell asleep for the entire trip
