After attending karate for 11 years, I have taken a weekly position teaching. Though sometimes I teach adults, I usually teach children, and while they have a difficult time focusing for any long period of time, the joy and satisfaction of seeing them succeed and pass tests is wonderful. I began tutoring when a young girl had struggled to pass belt test after multiple tries, so after talking to her and her parents we arranged a weekly schedule to focus on her largest obstacles. With just 4 sessions together she was able to pass the rank exam without any difficulties.
