Personal Narrative: Water Showers

I endured it and began coating my lips with the soapy substance, like one would with a bubble wand. I had the idea of using my mouth to form the bubbles, kind of hoping it would work like the bubble machines. It didn’t really work. I mean, it did, but it took me like 10 mins for each bubble. In the end, it wasn’t worth it, but this eventually led to the surfer, the carnival games, and dinner. Dumbo was the movie that started it

“A leader has to watch every word he or she says and quickly learns that you can’t go through life without a few critics, some well deserved” (pg. 5), this quote as some of the beginning words from MacDonald truly shows that a leader has responsibilities to uphold to. I found it interesting that he showed these responsibilities are not only external, but internal as well. Many do not realize the internal battles that leaders in ministry go through, and in order for leaders to handle a situation in a mature manner; they must uphold to the responsibilities of character they are expected to maintain. There are many internal and external expectations of leaders that are specified in Building Below the Waterline, but only some really stood out to me as factors that I would practice more than others in my leadership positions.…

While the maid ran a hot scented bath for me, I noticed the flowers first, and as I read the card I noticed clothing lay out on the huge round bed. An envelope carefully placed on top contained a handwritten note. The note told me to wear the clothes he had selected for me, the shoes he had instructed me to bring and to be ready by 7.30pm. He would be taking me out to dinner. I smiled wickedly to myself as I appraised each piece he has bought for me.…
