They are brave, meek in the Spirit, and funny. Ms. Moore is tough and involved with God. God is her father and she will do anything for him. Mrs. Kavan is optimistic and loves God. Now, Mrs. Semanovich is a different story. She is crazy, but has a great heart for the Lord. I am blessed with all my teachers because they all love God and students. Having Christian teachers will always always stick with me. All of them from kindergarten to where I am now have given me such a great foundation that I can stand on against anything in the world.
Water of Life is a great school and has given me the opportunity to grow in my ability to talk about my faith. Outreach gives me the opportunity to go out and help our community. We have had many great opportunities with people and sharing our faith. We also have had great speakers in chapel that have moved the students spiritually.
This year has been great, and I just found out that Ms. Moore is coming back to teach. Thank you God for my amazing core teachers. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shalt talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your

“A leader has to watch every word he or she says and quickly learns that you can’t go through life without a few critics, some well deserved” (pg. 5), this quote as some of the beginning words from MacDonald truly shows that a leader has responsibilities to uphold to. I found it interesting that he showed these responsibilities are not only external, but internal as well. Many do not realize the internal battles that leaders in ministry go through, and in order for leaders to handle a situation in a mature manner; they must uphold to the responsibilities of character they are expected to maintain. There are many internal and external expectations of leaders that are specified in Building Below the Waterline, but only some really stood out to me as factors that I would practice more than others in my leadership positions.…

Implementation Plan As a sophomore at Dordt College I am being called to pursue a degree in education and eventually become a Christian, education teacher. Through this education course of learning environments I have learned much about what it means to be a teacher and more importantly, what it means to be a Christian teacher. God has called me to purse the field of education, not only as a occupation, but as more than that, Van Dyk describes in the book, The Craft of Christian Teaching, ways in which individuals are called to be teachers and what that entails. “For a Christian teacher, teaching is always much more than merely a job.”…

awesome because then I can really have a more personal relationship with a group of students that I can talk to about God and help them through problems that they’re dealing with. The spiritual needs I believe are and were being met throughout the internship with each and every moment, when dealing with the message, life groups, and other spiritual building areas within the youth ministry. I really enjoy the way that the youth ministry that I was interning for ran each and every service. I don’t have many critiques or suggestions to improve the services but maybe one. The youth ministry is so big, maybe finding a way to split up middle school students and high school students more often.…

On August 26, 2005, I gave my life to Christ, and it was the start of a whole new chapter of my journey. I still remember that night vividly in my head. The feelings of excitement, joy, and love were very tangible in my heart. My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…

Observation: The student body section of the football game was most noticeable on the Heritage side and all the students seemed to be in one homogenous clump, with the exception of one or two separated groups and individuals. However, upon closer glance, the glaringly obvious racial divide clearly split the group of students down a chasm of social segregation. The divide appeared to be general accepted and almost unnoticed by the students, nothing beyond the ordinary, and the behaviors observed were consistent in the group as a whole. Most of the glaring behaviors exhibited by the students unfortunately revolved around sexuality.…

At the age of 16, I understood completely this whole idea called life. I was independent as ever, working full time, had a car of my own, and assumed that was all there was to responsibility. If you asked my mom to characterize me in a few words, she would tell you that I am stubborn but money motivated. I was able to accomplish anything if I truly put my mind to it. Unfortunately, the entire foundation I had attempted to establish at a young, but fragile age, was about to be ripped out from underneath me.…
