Personal Narrative: Was It Fair?

Decent Essays
The fight just ended in a TKO.
I started the fight with a couple jabs from the left to fly up with a right handed uppercut. He didn’t see it coming, he got about 7 hits landed, I had 27 landed and about 30 swung. I hit him in the right temple and that’s what caught him stumbling. His 7 or so hits weren’t even hard either he just wanted to get me to back up but I just kept going. When i was finished with him i went back to the changing room to destroy it and leave, we went in there and sent wine flying everywhere while chugging the other half of it. So after we all went back because he didn’t think it was a “fair” fight, it really was fair though we both started at the same time and he got the first hit how could it get any more fair.

I agree with your post. I also felt that with each state having a myriad of laws that aren’t necessarily congruent with other states, let alone the federal government, would make it difficult if not impossible to have a single court. Therefore, with the way our system is set up, it is a necessity to have a multi-tiered court. When looking at the downside, I hadn’t contemplated the fact of jurisdictional conflict.…

In the middle of my sophomore year, I was asked by a senior if I would like to be the president of a dance club they had started that year. The club members knew that I was apart of a well known dance studio. I was indecisive primarily because the club only had 3 members and so I did not know how I could make it into something starting off alone and young, but something told me to just go for it. And that I did.…

I am a recent non-traditional transfer student into the history department at the University of California-Los Angeles. I began my collegiate career at the age of 22 after working in the restaurant industry for 5 years. I began taking history classes while attending Long Beach City College and noticed the lack of representation in the professors who taught the courses. I also noticed the underrepresentation of people of color in the various textbooks in regards to modern Europe. Being a Latino male who comes from a low income background I began to question my involvement in school due to family and work obligations.…
