As a young girl at the age of 16 I had it tough. My mom was a drug addict and my dad wasn’t in the picture and maybe nowhere to be found. As the oldest I had to step up and take care of myself and 2 siblings, it was rough but I managed.
Being in high school and having to take care of adult responsibilities such as waking up early enough to dress and feed all three of us and get to school on time. As my English teacher says the early bird gets the worm. With that said i have to be as early as possible. Sometimes, up before the sun and down before the stars come out. Just like tonight the sky is bright like a summer day and it’s only 5 in the afternoon.

“Okay Amy” scream back
As I get closer to the staircase my phone rings. I went to get it and i see it's Maci my best friend.
“What's good bestie” I answered
“Nothing much i'm outside your door” she replies back
“Alright i'm on my way to the door now” i said with sarcasticness.
When I opened the door Maci walked in and shut the door behind her. I walked over to the kitchen to fix breakfast for Amy & Jaci.
“Aj do you need me to help you” asked Maci
“Sure if u want to you can” i said
“What do u need me to do”Maci questioned
“Uhhh you can fix the usual breakfast for these two, while i do Amy’s hair.”Isaid
After we finished eating, cleaning and the extra things we forgot. We walked out the door and there lied a bunch of spring flowers with a card attached that read, “Aj i've been missing you so much “ TO: Aj. From:Unknown. On the way to school a car stops by us and it’s Maci’s boyfriend Jermani.
“Hey ladies do yall need a ride the rest of the way to school” asks Jermani
“Sure” Maci and I say.
Maci hopes in the front seat and I hope in the back. When I get in I see my boyfriend Derek is sitting there with a ring.
“Ahhhh” i scream with excitement. I give him a very big hug and then ask “When did you get back and what's this giant sparkly ring for Derek.”
Derek answers with five little words.
“Marry me Aj and yesterday.”
I replied with a very big yes. Then i ask my best friend a question.
