Although my experience sounds great, I felt empty, because I wasn't doing anything productive. I knew I had to do something about it, because I didn't want to just do meaningless stuff all day. Late summer last year, I applied at VG’s Grocery

Hello Asia, Thank you for responding to my post! I was not previously aware of his mother’s actions during his childhood, we probably watched two different videos. Finding that out has led me to believe that his mother sort of had issues too, it makes me wonder if something was wrong genetically. As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

Spring of 2015 was the first time that I moved out of my parents’ house with my name on a designated lease agreement. I was finally moving to a reliable and stable living situation for the first time, and in order to do so, I had found employment at the gas station up the street from my apartment. I decided to take the summer semester off of school and found myself actually contemplating dropping out of college seeing that I could make ends meet with a minimal amount of education. Months went by and I began longing for a different occupation. Working at the gas station was becoming more tedious every day.…

I am an only child who was raised in a single parent household. My mother taught me early on how to be thrifty and that you have to work for what you want; this is where my value system began. I am a wife, mother, work full-time and college student.…

The Trip to the Grocery Store I haven’t seen him in weeks or maybe even months, I thought as I glared across the small distance between where I was standing and my dad’s car. With my One Direction CD clutched in my hands, I started to close the distance by walking towards his car. I opened the door and slipped in, and then he started to drive to the grocery store. At the time I was under the illusion that my dad would be even slightly happy to see me, but no.…
