Personal Narrative-Vertical Challenges

As a person who has always been vertically challenged, I was always looking for a way to boost my height. Wearing heels, stretching every morning, and eating all of my vegetables were all ways in which I attempted to become taller. However, as persistent as I was, my height stubbornly refused to increase as dramatically as I desired. Nevertheless, I was growing, albeit gradually. Needless to say, I was surprised one day when my mother remarked, “Wow, you’re getting so mature! You’re even taller than me!” Blinking in surprise and immediately standing next to my mother for confirmation, I audibly gasped aloud. Yes, it was true!
