It was the summer before junior year the first time I met her. She was one of our new freshman on the team and a very crazy one at that. She was the loudest most obnoxious freshman I had ever met. One day we were all at open field and it started to rain really bad so we called it early. None of the freshman could drive so being the good upperclassmen that I was decided to give them a ride home. But my very obnoxious little freshman's parents weren’t home so we went to get ice cream until they got home. I learned a lot about this girl, way more than I ever wanted to. The day of August 27, 2012 I was officially titled a freshman. One look down those unknown red and blue walls, will forever change my perspective of high school. There was an instant moment of disbelief in my freshman, I was terrified, and no thought came to mind as to how I was going to survive high school for the next four years. Of course I knew it'll be different from my tiny middle school, but will it be like the cliché movies about the upcoming of age, or resemble the happiest times of life. From that first day, I knew I wasn’t like everyone else.…

I went from an exceptional student to one who talks back. Since freshman year Mrs. R had been my favorite teacher, even though I did not have her until I was a junior. She was kind and always there if you needed to take a breather in her class, or simply do whatever you needed to on the computer, if it was your lunch. I've heard students complain about how they did not like her and how annoying she was. However, I couldn't understand why they felt that way about Mrs. R. I never saw her the way they did.…

I was able to explore different topics of study, with a small group of students who were as interested in the topic as I was.…

“You have two minutes to talk about yourself”, said the Professor I started by telling my classmates about myself, the things that I have done in the past, my academics, and that I was the monitor of the class since my childhood and the captain of the group in the school. I told them why I should be elected as the In-charge Class Representative of the class and eventually won the elections with a majority. That was the first time I understood that I had the capability to influence others. There was no stopping to me, I never looked back after that.
