My second week back at the hospital was quite challenging, as I found difficulty in understanding the doctor’s writing in the patient chart. My patient was a 38-year-old, who was diagnosis with diabetes and hypertension about twenty years ago.
When I was reading the patient chart and could not of understand the doctors writing, I felt sad and said to myself “if I can’t understand the writing now how would I understand it in the future”. I was able to recognize a few words, but that didn’t help me in understanding the physician diagnosis and order for my patient.
